Description of the watch

The limited-edition HBF002J1 is inspired by the icebreaker Mirai II, which is deployed on JAMSTEC expeditions in the polar region. The dial combines a vertical blue gradient with a textured surface modelled on the icebreaker’s wake in the drift ice. Several layers of lacquer are applied and polished until a deep, almost glass-like surface is created, reminiscent of the crystalline tranquillity of the Arctic. The blue ceramic bezel enhances the depth effect of the dial whilst ensuring high scratch resistance. The case back features the engraving “JAMSTEC Limited Edition” and the individual serial number.
