Description of the watch

For the third time, Seiko has created a special limited edition Astron to support the impressive work of Doctors Without Borders. The organisation fights for access to medical care in crisis and disaster areas worldwide and saves countless lives every year. This help is only possible thanks to the support of donations and committed partners.  The new Astron GPS Solar model SSH173J1 is limited to just 800 units worldwide. Part of the proceeds will go directly to Médecins Sans Frontières to continue supporting and enabling their global medical projects. The watch features a textured, white and silver dial, rounded off with a special red - a tribute to the colour of Doctors Without Borders. The white ceramic elements on the strap, the bezel and the tip of the crown are details that make this limited edition model unique. The engraving ‘IN SUPPORT OF MEDECINS SANS FRONTIERES’ is engraved on the case back, showing the partnership between Seiko and the organisation.
