Description

Seiko introduces a new interpretation of the 1968 diver's watch into the Prospex collection, even better equipped to meet the challenges of the most extreme conditions on earth. This watch, with its advanced specifications, will be worn by members of the 63rd Japanese Antarctic Research Expedition. The case, bezel and crown are all made of Seiko Ever-Brilliant steel. To ensure the durability of the watch, the crown is locked in a separate component built into the case. The watch is powered by the 8L35 calibre, developed specifically for diving watches and hand-assembled by the craftsmen of the Shizukuishi Watch Studio in northern Japan. The textured dial evokes the landscapes of Antarctica, while the subtle gradation of blue, ranging from light to dark, echoes the magnificent colours of the polar ice. This new Prospex watch is available in a limited edition of 1,300 pieces
