For the purposes of this warranty, the Customer is requested to contact the nearest authorised retailer or authorised service centre.

In order to benefit from this warranty, the Customer must first contact the Company’s Customer Service department to request official proof of purchase. The Customer will then be directed by email to the list of the Company’s official retailers, whom the Customer may contact to have the repair carried out. The Item must be accompanied by the warranty certificate supplied with it, a copy of the relevant purchase invoice, where applicable, or any other documentation proving the purchase.
Before any out-of-warranty work is carried out, the Customer will be provided with a quotation. If the Customer declines the quotation, the Item will be returned to the Customer through the official retailer contacted in accordance with the above procedure. Any return costs will be borne by the Customer. The return shipment will take place subject to reimbursement by the Customer of the return costs, up to the amount communicated in advance. If the Customer expressly requests that the Item not be returned, SEIKO WATCH EUROPE will arrange for its disposal in accordance with applicable regulations. If the above-mentioned quotation is accepted, following replacement or repair, the product will be shipped at the Customer’s expense, subject to reimbursement of the shipping costs.
This warranty covers the case, movement, dial, hands and metal bracelet, but does not cover the crystal, battery, straps made from materials other than metal, or scratches resulting from normal use. Damage caused by natural disasters such as earthquakes and flooding is also excluded.
If the watch bears the wording “WATER RESISTANT” on the case back, the warranty covers damage caused by water ingress. Please refer to the instruction manual for the permitted use of the Item depending on its degree of water resistance, or see the information below.
Water resistance to 3 bar: if the wording “WATER RESISTANT” appears on the case back, the watch has been designed and manufactured to withstand pressure up to 3 bar, for example in the event of accidental contact with water, splashes or rain, but it is not suitable for swimming or diving.
Water resistance to 5 bar: if the wording “WATER RESISTANT 5 BAR” appears on the case back, the watch has been designed and manufactured to withstand pressure up to 5 bar and is suitable for swimming, yachting and showering.
Water resistance to 10 bar: if the wording “WATER RESISTANT 10 BAR”, “WATER RESISTANT 15 BAR” or “WATER RESISTANT 20 BAR” appears on the case back, the watch has been designed and manufactured to withstand pressure up to 10, 15 or 20 bar respectively and is suitable for bathing and shallow-water diving, but not for scuba diving. For scuba diving, the use of professional SEIKO diving watches from the “DIVER’S WATCH” range, or diving models from “DIVER’S 200M” to “DIVER’S 1000M”, is recommended.
If, during the validity period of this warranty, the Item has been handled or damaged by persons other than SEIKO personnel, the warranty shall become void.
Irrespective of the provisions of this warranty, the Customer’s rights under the Consumer Code remain fully applicable and unaffected.
The Company is also liable for any lack of conformity resulting from the packaging or assembly instructions.
