Description of the watch

The KING SEIKO SJE105J1 combines a flat dial with faceted indices and ‘Diamond Cut’ hands to precisely echo the essential design features of the original from the 1960s. The new, slimmer design picks up on the original, sharp and angular KSK design with wide horns and shiny fittings. This model is equipped with the high-quality calibre 6L35. The unique blue dial adopts a characteristic pressed pattern: ‘Kameido-Kikko’, inspired by the birthplace of the King Seiko brand: Kameido in Tokyo. The repeated textured shapes are meant to look like a collection of turtle shells.Kameido used to be an island in the shape of a turtle shell and was called ‘Kamejima’ or ‘Turtle Island’. In many East Asian countries, turtles are worshipped as divine creatures, and in Japan they are seen as symbols of longevity and good fortune
